    has anyone heard about the jim watt - alexis arguello match in which arguello put on a boxing masterclass using his jab against a tough southpaw getting tagged with shots and everything

    anyways after a one sided fight jimm watt goes home with cuts and bruises...these cuts and bruises were so bad that when watt was interviewed 3 days after he had been in a bath since the fight and still was bleeding while he was getting interviewed and still has cests under his eyebrows till this day.

    it happens but remember as much damage as varquez and marquez took they gave just as much . you cant be stopped in a figth becuase of a cut or swelling or it makes all the damage pointless. holy said that he didnt mind his ears biten just as long as he won the fight.

    not sure what your on about but faces dont usually look like that that soon after the fight, izzys face today probably looks like hamburger. Dont see why your trying to come off as a know it all or diss wlad fans.



    as for the thread... They didnt make enough for this fight.

    Never called him a bum, but he was always overrated in his position and standing because people found him exciting. Marquez and Vasquez both dished out textbook offensive assaults while going to war, showcasing great skill and technique. Gatti sloppily got his ass whipped and often turned fights with his power.

    Big difference. These guys are ELITE 122 pound fighters, Gatti was always a B fighter and most recently, a C- and some fans just got tired of his fights being put on the level of the Morales-Barrera's and now Vasquez-Marquez type of fights.

    Can't compare Gatti/Ward to this one, no chance.

    Anyone knows where I can download this fight? Just missed this fight yesterday coz we have a big blackout in our area for 12 hrs. Hope some friendly neighborhood vendors have this fight recorded on pirated dvd's /vcd's :)

    When I first saw that cut around Izzy's eye I figured Raffy would target it and more or less force the ref to stop it.

    Great job by Rudy Perez and co by keeping it under control. Nasty.
