After watching the replay of the fight last night, I was even more impressed with the calyber of boxing that these two warrior diplayed on this great trilogy.....top calyber boxers with great defense and offensive display, that clearly showed us what happens when two warriors are ready to give us their best....the twelve round was classic...as well as the 4th round...

I echo Bernstain comment, that the result was minningless after the incredible diplay of boxing at the highest level....

I've seen the fight on YT. It was incredible to watch.

My mouth was open the whole 12th round, it was like what I was watching was a movie. Probably the best 3rd part of a trilogy that Ive ever seen. I havent seen a lot of classic old films of trilogies but Im guessing Vasquez-Marquez ranks among the top, at least in the last 20+ years of pro boxing.

The amount of hurt these two guys inflicted on each other, with the amount of defence they have a great boxers was simply amazing

Only way this could of been more dramatic is if they knocked each other down and whoever got up would win...similar to Rocky 2.

If you watch any of these fights versus something like Gatti/Ward or Bika/Codrington, you see the difference between a high-level shootout and a mid-level shootout. Marquez and Vazquez were very good technically, but the clash of styles and heart made these clashes extremely violent. All credit and respect to both men.

And I'm not hating on those other fighters, because taking punches requires toughness and courage, but for me as a fan, I strongly prefer bouts that have a technical element as well. Vazquez/Marquez provided the best of all worlds.
