Vazquez vs Marquez III is on!

I can't wait, the first fight was great, 2nd maybe even better. The 3rd fight should not dissapoint either. Izzy by 9th round stoppage.

 

Maybe I'm just a greedy *****, but I really hope they draw.

 

Then a Marquez-Vasquez IV will happen!!!! The promoters will ilkthis rivalry to the max if a draw happens (e.g. headbutt b4 4th rounds or scorecards)

 

when you're dealing with fighters of this caliber, trilogy-pluses are always better than trilogies, for the fans, the promoters, and the fighters.

 

I'll go with Vasquez late, like 11 or 12, if RM elects to box. If brawl, then early stoppage for Izzy

I'm going to pick Marquez in this fight (as of now). And for those rooting for Vazquez, this is a good thing because in the 1st fight, I picked Vazquez and in the 2nd fight, I picked Marquez. If Marquez can keep this at a distance and bust Vazquez up with a hard jab, he can set up his power shots and stop Vazquez around the 8th or 9th rounds. As the fight draws closer, I will look at this closer and possibly change my pick.

But this is a 50/50 fight if there ever was one

this is the same date that Pacquiao is scheduled to fight next, and if its against JMM

it would be unfair to the Marquez brothers

 

yeah. i think those shots he received from vazquez was really hard and could seriously affect him. maybe this could resemble the morales-pacquiao trilogy.

As I said before the 2nd fight...my only wish is that the ref, and their cornermen, stop the fight before either one of them is hurt too badly. I want them both to have long and happy lives after they retire from the ring.
I am more than happy to buy the PPV cause these guys deserve it! If the fight is in the Western USA like the first 2, then I will probably go to it.

 

Exactly. I was hoping they wouldn't rush this. That second fight was brutal, and both guys need to take the time to rest and recover. I'm happy to wait a few extra months for this one.

I always thought the second Castillo/Corrales fight came too soon after the first one for that same reason.

 

Marquez by TKO. Just like the other two, this one is not going the distance.

I picked Marquez in the last too, and I thought that Rafa did a terrible job with his defense last time, which I am sure will be corrected this time around and use that beautiful piston like jab of his more like in the first fight. Izzy did a great job taking the fight to Marquez but he is not as technically sound as his opponent.
