Vazquez vs. Marquez & Mares vs. Perez RBR

Perez is now hunkering down and getting off in close and then pulling out at angles. It's weird that the much taller and longer guy is fighting like the bull, much more successful on the inside. Mares playing the matador, but a matador in trouble. Mares tries a right to the body but it doesn't slow Perez down at all - in fact, he moves forward as the leather is still deflecting off his stomach. Mares really trying to find the body with consistency. Perez gets staggered by a sudden shot upstairs.

Mares could have stolen the round with late success on some cards. Not mine.

Round 10

Mares whipping the sides of Perez, backs him into the ropes and then follows him back out to open water. Perez is firing straight at Mares' chin as he absorbs the body shots. Perez is gaining purchase every time he puts two power punches together up high, Mares stepping back and taking a moment to blink them off. Mares is banking on slowing Perez down with the body work. Perez fires a double jab but his handspeed has slowed down even more. Mares comes at him with a vicious and blinding fast flurry that drives Perez back. Mares circling and fires.
