Just wondering if they are going to have third fight or not and who you think will win it. I really have no idea who will win, all I know is I want to see it happen.

I fancy Varquez to stop him within 7 rounds, to big and strong i feel.

Marquez couldn't adjust what he took from Vasquez in the first encounter, what more he can give to beat this guy? Without that nose injury in the first, Israel Vasquez could have won it and finish the whole thing in the second. Vasquez will sure win in the third and this time would go much earlier than 6 rounds.

Well dont expect Marquez(the superior boxer) to go in there and trade with him this time around. He knows his fight plan in the second fight was not gonna end well but hey it got him the number one candidate for fight of the year so it was worth it. This time i expect him to go out and box all night long. However he might get caught when trading with Vasquez and that would be a huge mistake.

V-M fights make me giddy. I'm going to be so sad when this series of fights ends. I don't think they should pursue unification or paydays at higher weights or anything like that, they should just fight each other another 10 or 20 times and then retire as ATGs (although their records for ATGs would look horrible on paper)

Yes, it is already set for March 2008, everything is worked up except for the venue, apparently it may end up being in Mexico.

Nope, Marquez is the superior boxer, he was ahead on all scorecards on both fights before their stoppage.

Vazquez's nose injury didn't magically appear, I am pretty sure Marquez's punches had to do something with it, don you think so?

Vazquez wouldn't have won the first as he was clearly unable to adjust to Marquez's boxing, his best bet was to dig in close, that is why he was successful in many of the exchanges. In the second fight Marquez abandoned his plan to fight Vazquez fight, which I give Vazquez credit for being able to lure him in. The rubbermatch should play similarly like the first fight, but of course its not an easy task.

This fight is not going the distance again. Another war between p4p elites. Its gonna be great.:happy

    :D

With the way they fight they wouldn't last another 3 fights.

Sadly this trilogy is now coming to an end and the winner will rule the division. From all the other boxers I have seen at 122 I can't even pick one of them to have a chance at beating both Marquez and Vazquez. Jhonny Gonzalez will sure make it interesting when he gets to fight Marquez.

I think they only got 300K a piece for the rematch. It is a sad thing.:-(

They are gonna sold out the arena of their rubbermatch, I am sure Showtime can afford to at the very least double their pay.

I'm slightly favoring Vazquez in the rubber match. Should be another classic.

The guy that wins the rematch usually goes on to win the rubber match but I still think Marquez can win.

Forget Showtime, they deserve HBO PPV money.

Actually I'll go ahead and say that as dance partners, Izzy and Rafa deserve HBO PPV money more than any other pair of HBO PPV headliners in the last ten years. Easily.

    Agreed

So we should all appreciate what these two warriors are giving us as fans. A classic trilogy in the making. I believe both should be Hall of Famers.

    I am undecided
