Vazquez-Zappavinga; The weekend's most evenly matched bout?

Indeed. I almost didn't make a prediction on this one in Kirk's thread, because it's so damn close.

Finally I came up with Vazquez by SD, this is going to be a very close bout.

 

Nah, I don't think so. I see Vazquez winning pretty easily. A couple of hairy spots here and there may'be, but overall wins in the range of 117-111, 118-110...may'be he gets KD in which case 116-111 and 117-110. I think for the fights on TV Martinez-Dzinziruk will be a pretty close fight, and Barros-Roman that won't be on HBO or Showtime could spark a FOTY canidate as well.

 

Vaz outright -170. Looks yummy.

 

Youre the "master fightpicker" and all but I really expect this one to be a lot closer.

Odds are moving A LOT. Vaz was like -175, went to -200, now went to -175 again and it just now sunk to -155.

Thoughts?

 

I know many people think so but im pretty confident Vasquez is gonna out point him.

 

I think there will be enough hairy moments to make it seem more even than it actually is (if that makes sense) with Vazquez winning a wide enough decision.

 

If Zappa cant prevent Vasquez doing his thang he will lose wide on the cards but most rounds will be closely fought and competitive.

But when Zappa knocks Miguel down for the 4th time and the fight gets waved off..evenly matched will be the last thing on people's mind.

 

Vasquez is too slick to get kod by Zappa, and he also has a very good chin... Zappa will have his moments but for the most part Vasquez is gonna take him to school...
