To me, I think you're getting incredible value if you take Thurman as the underdog. No way Thurman should be a +130 +140 underdog as of this writing. If anything it's a 50/50 -110 -110 type fight. However, it makes sense why the odds are the way they are because the public is all over Manny as expected. But I don't know, I just feel like there's value here. I'm not sure if I'll bet the fight myself as there's so much boxing this weekend but should be a fun one and don't be surprised if this goes to a draw
I'm not a gambler nor have I ever gambled, but when odds are this close, isn't the underdog always a very good value?
Not as my homepage, but it's bookmarked. I imagine that you have this page bookmarked as well. Why do you care?
I love that they got it wrong the wise guys like me and others will clean up at the books because of it. I also put $100 on the draw to win $1600.
Manny opened as the slight underdog, I was able to get him at +115 in May at Westgate. The only thing that has swung the odds is big money on Pac, unless of course Vegas knows something we don't from Thurman's training camp (which you can never rule out). I loved Manny's value at +115, but wouldn't touch him at -140 at 40 y.o. With that said, I am just not sold on Thurman, I just can't picture it in my head him beating Manny.
If u check the official betting thread, I told everyone to take Manny while he was still an underdog if you were looking that way. Manny as a dog is a good bet.
It's an odd one and were it on the back of his wins over Porter and Garcia I suspect it would of been different.
I am backing a few upsets this weekend Rivas over Whyte and Thurman over Pac and like @Pimp C I am going to have some money on the draw.
The best money is a draw... Paying huge numbers, neither guy is the definite favourite and history tells us it's unlikely they will knock each other down. With Vegas involved, huge interest and both well recognised fighters, I don't think a decision is as easy to come by as a draw. Financially it makes sense, from a boxing perspective it makes sense and the levels between the two match up. Thuman will win the opening rounds (very likely) and then jump off the gas, as he usually does. Pacquiao will struggle to get in range earlier in the fight, but as Thurman runs out of steam, Pacquiao will start accumulating rounds. With a swing round at the end and in the middle of the fight, I would see a draw very likely.
