why cant they just do it like we do here? eg. Maskaev is $4.10... you get $4.10 return for every $1 you put on heaps easier to understand
If you like Calzaghe you bet $280 for every $100 you want to win If you like Hopkins you will be getting $230 for every $100
something is telling me to wait until the last minute when the odds should tighten up, and bet the freaking house on calzaghe. guys, what do you think? To me this is as much a sure thing as any.
What about for the underdog? How do they write that? EDIT.... I mean the favorite? Or would it be like $0.25 --> you get $0.25 for every dollar you wager?
Calzaghe at -280 would be put as 8/23; or if they round it probably 1/4. And yes you would win .25 cents for every dollar you wager on him at 1/4.
If people really thought the odds were going to get close they should bet Hopkins now, and Calzaghe later for a good scalp. I don't see the odds getting to close though. Brits aren't that bright, hopkins will remain a great bet.
British odds are about the same value. Nobody seems to give Hopkins that much hope. If you think he can win, it would be tempting odds. I remember saying this about 6 months ago to some Danish people.
