SUCKS is an understatement-----since they have been using combinationns of Poly-Latex and PVC foams [and no more horsehair] you've basically got apples & apples when you compare the 4 more popular brands---Though Reyes is still preferred as a punchers glove- 154lbs and under should be 8 ounce [Wherever it happens]--standardisation is needed in the fight game------to try to officiate uniformly..;) ;) ;)

They should make it 8oz for every division.
Lyle-Foreman wore 8oz gloves, that was amazing.

10 oz is better for Floyd, more protection for his chronically sore hands.

Yep. Especially since there is evidence to suggest that the larger gloves are actually counter-productive to what they're supposed to achieve.

And his soon to be broken ribs.

10 oz. gloves on these guys is a disgrace. Put 8 oz. gloves on & let 'em kill eachother.

So have any of you guys ever been punched in 12oz gloves, let alone 10oz or 8oz? 2 ounces isn't going to make a big difference. You still feel it when you get hit, that's for sure.

Actually, I've boxed for quite some time, which is why I say it. Yeah, you'll feel it, but the main thing I've noticed is that I'm faster if I were to wear 10s, as opposed to the 12 oz gloves I compete in.

Winning gloves, right? They always look like that, I think it's because the padding is concentrated more on the fist to offer hand protection.

10 oz gloves look HUGE on welterweights. They're ridiculous.

it was also becuase the gloves were white which made them look bigger then the black ones judah had on.

Hadn speed is a difference when comparing 8's and 10's but so it hitting power. Every pro boxer i talk to says theres a noticable difference with 8's an 10's. Steve Forbes and K-9 from contender have both faught in 8's and 10's and they say the impact if felt more in 8's.
