No I think Strikeforce have the better heavyweights at the moment: Emelianenko Werdum Overeem Arlovski Lashley Compare to UFC's top: Velasquez Lesnar Mir Dos Santos Carwin
agree, but thats what I thought a lot of times before, only to be proven wrong when they actually got to fight with UFC heavies......
I'd make it a bit simpler than that by cutting it to a top 3 for each. Strikeforce: Emelianenko Werdum Overeem UFC: Velasquez Dos Santos Carwin Lashley and Lesnar, the pro wrestlers in their thirties who are collectively 10-3 in MMA - should be left out of the conversation for now until they get back in the winning column. It's not like either has proven themselves capable of rebounding from being knocked out, nor have they beaten all that wide a spectrum of styles, skill levels, sizes and ages. Mir and Arlovski were both middling heavyweights at their best - able to steal a big win here and there but never consistently great...and their best is probably behind both at this point.
Santos is a beast. Come on Velesquez V JDS, that is a dream fight right there. As for Brock, it isn't as big upset many want to think. Brock has no skills, anyone who watched pride days know the big guys end up falling.
