I see that it will be in the Liddel, Rashad undercard. I have to go for Pinoys so I like Vera but I like Werdum as well. I think it will be a good standup fight with Vera having the advantage (better hands than Gonzaga I feel) while Werdum have an advantage on the ground. Veras ground game is good (purple belt in JJ) but Werdom is just a notch better. Veras wrestling is top notch as well..

I think this one is a great fight and the winner challenges Nog for the title...

I always felt that Vera was the Werdum of the UFC, and Werdum was the Vera of Pride when they were both coming up. Cool to see them fight, and I have no idea who is going to win. I think that Vera is more dynamic, and can win in more ways. I think that Werdum is better at JJ, than Vera is at any particular aspect of MMA. Tough call...

Standing Vera is superior. But i have a feeling this may be become a boring chess match on the floor with both fighters looking to counter.

Werdum wrestles like a drunk ******, and his stand up outside of the clinch is hilariously bad. If he tries to clinch with Vera he'll get nuked, and if he tries to fight at a distance I don't think his open hand ***** slaps are going to be enough to stop Vera from coasting to a decision.

    In time he can be
dont let the gunshy Vera against Timmy fool you...He was doing well when he let his hands and kicks go. He just shut down, Im not even going to make excuses for his broken hand..He was not ready for that moment

Timmy beat the crap out of Nog more than Vera, give Timmy credit. Vera is dynamic and will have another shot for the title if he beats werdum.

Give Vera another shot man..whats up with you? Is that because he's Pinoy that you dismiss him like that? He fought a very capable former Champ in Sylvia and lost a split D.

Veras standup is world clas, Kaman touts him highly and Kaman doesn't shower compliments

Very true the **** he tried to pull on Arlovski with his takedown attempts had me very ashamed to watch. Like you said he can fight in the clinch but dam so can Vera hes got devestating knees. Wedrums best chance is to pull guard and try for submissions which would also be very hard to do. Vera slaps him around occasionally to a decision.

He should IMO hes got alot of body fat still around and should make 205 comfertably. Hes a good size for 205 and would be very dangerous in that divison infact he might be a world champ.

that's what i've been thinking. i really don't know why vera keeps on forcing himself at the HW division. it was pretty clear that tim defeated vera with his size and nothing else. as you have pointed out, vera could easily make 205, sadly, i don't think he wants to
