Vera looked like Mike Tyson adn Lee like Manute Bol. Sorry but even though Lee hit Vera with A LOT of shots, Vera walked right through 90% of them and then when Vera hit Lee clean, it hurt Lee bigtime.

That was the difference in the fight. Vera was far too strong for a very thin, wiry Any Lee. :yep

I'm probably not the only who saw this but I noticed that Lee had no head movement what so ever.

    NONE!

I saw that too wide open with his chin out. here's the problem Andy Lee is a hyped young fighter and he saw that with all of his skill and power Vera kept on coming and it seemed to frustrate Lee. Enough that his confidence started to break and he started to fight closer to Vera and that's Vera's fight.

3rd or 4th round, Brian Vera noticed. That straight right couldn't miss.

    I noticed it too.

If Lee wasn't going to move his head, he should have at least held his hands up.

I didn't even think of Vera as a step up before the fight. IMO some of Andy Lee's previous opponents could have outboxed and beaten Vera. Lee just wasn't mentally prepared for a tough situation like this and he broke down. It was a shock to see Lee lose to someone on this level who seemed to be made for him. I thought Lee would lose to a solid B level pressure fighter if he stepped up, but Vera? Damn.. it's good Lee still has Steward to help him out and I'm sure Emmanuel will not just drop him. ****, imagine how Steward feels after hyping Lee up ridiculously for so long.

As soon as Lee got buzzed a couple of times he seemed to just fall apart. Even in the early rounds when Lee was in control, I could not see anything that would make him the kind of threat to Pavlik that Steward has said he is.

It should teach him a lesson not to do it again. Steward is getting too cocky for my taste.

I hope he doesn't do the same with Johnathon Banks, because he'll get starched when he steps it up most likely.

A month or so ago (after reading your thoughts on Lee), I went back and watched some Lee fights I hadn't seen. Not only that, but I watched them very closely. I noticed that he had some defensive holes, pawed with the jab at times, and didn't look too strong. And looking at his traps, neck, and legs, I came to the conclusion that he probably didn't have the best beard. But no way in hell I thought a fighter like Vera would expose these flaws. Lee can come back from this loss and probably become a B/B- level fighter.

At this point, I'd agree with you that Daniel Jacobs is a better prospect. I'd also add Peter Quillin and Golovkin.

 In all fairness, it was almost over in round 2. I've rarely been as nervous watching a fight. I was close to having a heart attack!

I don't want to steal the thread, but have you seen the entire post fight press conference? If you haven't, it's on You Tube, and well worth taking the time to watch. Listening to Steward talk about the way Pavlik came out in round 3 is a ****ing hoot and a half:yep
