I actually think it could turn out to be an interesting sideshow given how shot Paulie is and the fact that he can't punch. He would probably have too much for McGregor though. Someone like Ortiz would be an interesting freakshow as well.

 

I think McGregors doing this to put pressure on the UFC to give him equity in the company. He knows where his bread is buttered and where he can succeed in a competitive sense. Not a stupid or delusional guy contrary to what many think.

 

Dude if Diaz had time to stop and point at Conner, gesturing to him that he's running (SEVERAL TIMES during the fight) conner was definitely running. lol When you actually turn your back like that and run, its NOT a good look.

Why in the world would UFC ever give him stakes in the company? Connor is mentally irregular.

 

He was GASSED because he's way too muscle bound at that weight. He's not a 170 lb fighter. He's got a lot more energy and is quicker and snappier while campaigning at 145-155.. He circled to catch his breath a couple times throughout the fight, but that's not rare in MMA at all. NOWHERE near as bad as this video is attempting to suggest. Anyways, McGregor has a massive set of nuts for taking that fight to begin with and for accepting the rematch at 170 instead of 155. Diaz would be EASY work for him at 155.

 

While Conor is under contract to the UFC there will be no boxing match.

Yeah good luck with that. Others thought they were bigger than the UFC---Ken and Frank Shamrock, Tito Ortiz. They didn't get very far on their own. Conor does generate a lot of interest but once he starts losing he'll be like any other fighter in the pool.

 

It's true though Nate Diaz was drafted in on short notice because conor was supposed to fight Rafael Dos Anjos @ 155 and RDA got injured.

It wouldn't have been possible for Conor to put on muscle in 3 weeks so saying he was too muscular at 170 is flawed. He just didn't cut weight and wasn't used to fighting a bigger man.

Diaz sucks and isn't champ material but he is a tough SOB (MMA girly tough not Boxing hard man tough) with decent cardio and Conor has a 50p gas tank.
