Easy to see there is an agenda against Mean Machine

Ortiz has adjusted very well. A disciplined jab is helping him win rounds while Kava is waiting for the counter.

So much for my 5 round prediction, though. :(

    Round 5

Ortíz is drilling Kavaliauskas with right hands, walking him down. Kavaliauskas is backed nearly into a corner, but then stops on a dime and waits, seeing if Ortíz will step into countering range. Ortíz doesn't, hanging back, dropping in a few body jabs, refusing to give Kavaliauskas what he wants. Double jab by Ortíz, ducked as Kavaliauskas spears him, diving in and grabbing around his waist, letting go when Laurence Cole barks to. Kavaliauskas is coiled and ready to strike, but not pulling trigger with much besides jabs as Ortíz is remaining cautious on the outside.

    10-9 Ortíz

    49-45 Ortíz

Ortiz adjusted really well. Kavalauskas needs to adjust and attack Oritz' jab and make him more tentative to throw it to have any chance.

    1 ortiz
    2 kava
3 ortiz 10-8. body work is hurting kava. but ortiz is getting hit up top
4 ortiz. great jab by ortiz. could throw more to the body.
5 toss up. could go either way. definitely a settle down round for both.
6 ortiz. close round, but ortiz landed the jab well in the round.

    Round 6

Kavaliauskas buzzes Ortíz with a sudden line drive right as they are circling and jabbing. Kavaliauskas showing his timing and power are still a formidable variable in this contest. Ortíz, however, gets an extra drop-step on Kavaliauskas moving left and positions himself to bop him on the head with a pair of quick overhands before Kavaliauskas is able to swivel and square up to him. Kavaliauskas is doubling his jab and sends a heatseeker right up top, grazing as Ortíz twists away. Nice stiff jab by Ortíz stepping around Kavaliauskas as the Lithuanian is throwing a lead right.

    10-9 Kavaliauskas, close

    58-55 Ortíz
