I'm sure he learned a much needed lesson. The reason for these types of fights.

    Round 8

Ortíz is jabbing the face and hooking the body of Kavaliauskas, grinding in ever closer, and they begin to engage in some vicious infighting, with Kavaliauskas ceding ground, almost trapped on the ropes, and he is JTFD with a body jab! Kavaliauskas is up and leveraging his arm out to push Ortíz away, but none of his actual punches are keeping the champ's respect. Ortíz just bulling through, another body shot knockdown. Another rise by Kavaliauskas, and Ortíz rips him down with a left hook! Kavaliauskas is up, going to barely escape the round, ten second clap sounds, WAIT NO HE ISN'T! Ortíz homes in on him, big shots, a FOURTH knockdown, and Cole waves it off.

    KO8!!

Not ready, but im sure Crawford would rather face Ortiz now instead or Porter. Less risk.

"Is he ready to be a world champion?"

Um, his record is already better than many belt holders'...
