There will be some very interesting match ups for Ortiz. I'd love to see him against Ramos.

Still plenty of good fights for Ortiz at 154 if he decides to box after this.

147 is going to be such a weak division once the top dogs all move up. Josh Taylor might be able to unify.

How much do you think a 7lb difference would make with all of his health problems? The man seems like he’s been sick forever. I don’t think 160 is a terrible idea.

A pretty big difference. That 7 pounds he'd save would make him a different beast imo. 160, might be a stretch as of right now. But there's really no telling how much of a toll these health scares have taken on his body.

Ortiz is big, he can move up to 160 right now. He needs it.

I really don’t think it’s much of a stretch. We’ve seen fighters move up and down in weight all the time in the past. It seems so taboo nowadays for some reason but I really don’t think it’s that big of a deal. I think he does fine, a lot of middleweights are around his size.

where did he confirm it? What a Career miss for Ortiz 147 was supposed to be his field, big miss if it's true.

If he does continue fighting and stays healthy at 154 I would like to see him face Brian Castano. That would be a good introduction to the division for him.

I don't think he can just walk into 160 without getting his body used to the added power and strength those guys have at 160. Imagine him and Murata in the ring together? I think he needs to figure out what's going on with his health first then slowly make his move into 160, if that's even going to be an option. I think 54 is where he should be.
