I'll tell you, I've fucking had it with GBP and their not allowing cards to be listed on BoxRec until the day of (if not later). Cunts making it so I can't one-stop-shop for a glance at fights on the horizon, for whatever their stupid reasons are. Anyway, this is happening Friday of next week. Ortiz has a perfect KO rate thus far, and Solomon is a defensively sound and tough fighter whose only defeat was via SD against Konstantin Ponomarev in 2016. WBA Gold welterweight title at stake, Ortiz's 1st defense. Solomon is absent from all world rankings, having been inactive since April of last year when he beat Paddy Gallagher in the quarterfinal stage of the ill-fated José Sulaimán Invitational tourney.
Busy Bee is a lot craftier than Massa Ortiz, Antonio Orozco, and even Mauricio Herrera. I wouldn't bet against him lasting twelve. If he does end up 15-0 (15) and keep the perfect KO streak alive, then Ortiz is seriously powerful, and probably the co-reigning hardest-punching young up-and-coming fighter p4p alongside Subriel Matías.
i gotta go with ortiz, im really high on this kid. only weakness i see is he tends to rush the fight a bit, but i think thats due to him not having gone through much resistance yet. hes got the talent, and i think the garcias will keep him improving with the world class sparring and training knowledge in that gym. i think he ends it before it goes to the cards.
I feel you on Boxrec. The sports channel that the big mouse owns has the best comprehensive boxing card schedule that I know of.
Vergil absolutely mangles him, he closes distance quite well and he's rangy as hell when he wants to be, and is powerful enough to KO someone from range. Soloman isn't going to know what hit him.
Bektemir Rozmatjon Ogli Meliqoziyev vs. Vaughn Deandre Alexander in the co-main event. Good test for "Bully" Meliqoziyev, as "The Animal" Alexander has gone the distance in all of his losses (to Denis Douglin, Janibek Alimkhanuly, and Anthony Sims, Jr.)
Alberto Josue Machado Becerril vs. Luis Enrique Porozo Mina and Alexis Rocha vs. Roberto Carlo Valenzuela Alcantar also on the card, a pair of ten-rounders at light and welter respectively. Former champ Machado returning to action for the first time since being upset twice in a row by Andrew Cancio. Golden Boy prospects Luis Feliciano, Ferdinand Kerobyan, Erik Bazinyan, and Serhii Bohachuk on the undercard.
He beat Money Powell IV too. There were many high on him here so we can expect Alexander to bring the heat.
That's a great and by no means an easy step up fight for Bully in just his 4th pro outing. Alexander is teak-tough and he gave the highly talented Sims Jr. a real hard nights work back in April and he's coming off an upset win over then undefeated and well thought of 10-0 prospect Money Powell IV in his last fight who like Sims Jr. can crack.
