Well the card has moved along very nicely tonight/this morning, I was expecting a later ringwalk time for the main.


A decent enough early new year card it's been so far.

 

Everybody is expecting a knockout by Otiz. The only question is what round.

Davies was really defending himself after getting dropped the first time and didn't seem to have recovered his faculties at all after he got up the second time. The writing, as you said in a previous post, was on the wall and,this time, Celestino Ruiz got the message before a fighter got badly hurt.

Anyway, this year is off to a lovely start based on this result. Couldn't find one much more satisfying than this one.

 

Andy Lee is a bit of a personal hero of mine as a fellow Irish southpaw with a similarly wicked right hook (what would be the money punch for both of us), I met him lately and he seemingly had no regrets with his retirement. Coaching Fury, Parker and Paddy Donovan can't have been a terrible follow up to his championship reign I reckon.

 

Gabe Rosado doing an ok job. Nothing obnoxious about his commentary. Always seemed like a decent guy.

 

What are the odds he formed his personality around that name. That's almost a little too perfect
