I had it 5-3 before the KD. Vergil has some great attributes but he is severely lacking in his foot work and ability to cut off the ring. Ennis is all wrong for Ortiz and would likely win a wide UD if not a late round KO.

I've always favoured Super Boots in this one but let's not forget that Ortiz has big power in both hands too, is fast, has the better wins and he can really fight.

Lipinets was a good performance and win for Ennis but, as tough as Lipinets is, he's a 140 pounder and Ennis is huge for the weight and will end up at 160 someday and I don't see any natural 140 pounder beating a huge 147 pounder as talented as Ennis.

Dulomre is a 140 pounder too.

Abregu is Ennis' most impressive performance for me because he's a very tough 147 pounder who has taken some quality fighters the distance, very big punching ones like Egis, and Ennis is the only guy to get him out of there. But that being said, I think Ortiz would stop Abregu too.

I still favour Super Boots but let's not sell Ortiz short

This might end up being the "superfight" that Crawford/Spence was supposed to be.

Right now it's 55/45 Boots IMO.

Boots is the real deal.....the new Marvin hagler and he will become champion at 160 within 3 years or so

The fact that he performed better than Kavaliauskas, Orozco, Hooker, Solomon, Herrera and Vargas, and gave Ortiz his toughest fight to date, proves this statement to be incorrect.

vergil beats him to pulp, ennis looks good against smaller guys that dont really come at him. vergil will be coming at him behid that elite jab and tight guard. and will rip him to the body and head. easy fight to call.

Both are lacking any big name opponents but it’s funny to see how much more hype is given to Ennis based on absolutely nothing. Both guys have steamrolled their opposition but people comment as if Vergil is struggling to get wins. You would think Ennis has knocked off some serious contention with how people gush over the guy. They are pretty neck and neck to me.

It's because Ennis has the catchy items of clothing moniker

If Ortiz had one too people would be higher on him

    Vergil ''Flip-Flops'' Ortiz
    Vergil ''Sweatpants'' Ortiz
    Vergil ''Moccasins'' Ortiz
    Vergil ''Caftan'' Ortiz

    Vergil “Sombrero” Ortiz
    Vergil “Poncho” Ortiz

I think Vergil “El Cinto” Ortiz would be the best though. El cinto is “the belt”. It would mean Vergil is handing out butt whoopings.

It’s a great fight, but I doubt it’ll happen anytime soon. There’s not enough money for either of theses guys to take a loss with no belt on the line.

People say Ortiz isn't ready for E-Spence but we've seen the later get hurt by average punchers and career 140 pounders numerous times. He's spat out his mouthpiece to buy himself some time like three times now and Ortiz cracks hard for a 147 pounder and he cracks hard with both hands. E-Spence might end up spitting his mouthpiece across several time zones after tasting a flush right or left hand from Ortiz.

I really do think Ortiz will batter and stop Ennis...I really do....and I've not seen anything to alter this opinion
