Apparently they weren't happy that Robert Garcia chose to be in Franco's corner the same day Ortiz had his fight in Dallas.

    Will he better with Reynoso?

And I think Reynoso can help him improve his head and waist movement that clearly needs improvement. I feel it's a good match. RG is more for traditional brawlers..

If true, mad respect to Robert for going with the fighter that needed him more and not just blindly supporting/prioritizing the rising/future star.

Don't like the move to be honest. Ortiz won't be his main priority that will always be Canelo. Atleast with Garcia Ortiz could be his.

But the whole reason they said they left Garcia is because they felt Ortiz was not Garcia's priority.

Ortiz will be reynosos 2nd best fighter behind canelo. Both have insane work ethic, and with peds he will be a force to be reckoned with at higher weights.

I hope their emotions are factual. I'm still shocked by the move.

I think its fair, selfish, but fair. The Ortiz' clearly felt they were the star of Garcia's stable and deserved preferential treatment.

Now they're going to Reynoso who has 3, maybe 4 big names, where he will definitely not get preferential treatment.

Amir Khan left Freddie Roach because he felt ignored as well even though Manny Pacquiao frequently allowed Roach/Ariza to break camp to help others.

    Of course it will.

Ortiz will get all the clenbuterol steak a growing boy needs. Who knows, with the right pharmaceutical plan Ortiz might conquer light heavyweight in about five years.

Yep, nothing to do with disloyalty on Garcia's end. Ortiz just wants to switch to the winning team.

So you don't think that Ortiz who is a rising star, who is the top fighter in Garcia's gym, should be concerned about Garcia's priorities when he chose to be in his other fighter's corner over Ortiz'?

I totally understand why Garcia did it, the man has a heart of Gold, but sometimes you have to realize that not everyone shares the same feelings, especially when its business.

I feel for Garcia, he looks very disappointed. Maybe the Ortiz' could be a little more understanding, but like Golovkin says, this is business.

Ortiz can't expect to be the priority and Reynoso's camp. Canelo will continue to be the favorite son until he retires or at least while he's running on all cylinders. It is business and Vergil is an intelligent individual. He envisions a higher ceiling under Reynoso's guidance and will develop further. Even if Garcia not being in his corner on fight night is part of the issue, I highly suspect it isn't the total reason why he decided to jump trainers.
