Had a great fight last night in which he had to learn to overcome adversity. Was deffo hurt. Not fight ending hurt but deffo was buzzed and rocked for a few seconds but think it was more a slip than a shot putting him down as I think he got tangled up with his left foot but being hurt did contribute I believe. showed a very good jab throughout and looks like someone who’s willing to be patient in breaking a fighter down. Egis Kav a really tough fighter and someone who can give anyone a tough fight at 147. Feels harsh to call him a gatekeeper but he’s like the almost world class gate keeper of 147. Can get over eager at times whereas in a couple of years he may become better at picking his shots. shows some nice head movement at times but if against a truly top Fighter like Crawford or Spence I’m worried he may be exposed defensively too much and feel like if they had him hurt like Kav did Round 2 they may find the shots to finish him off. but overall he’s becoming a top fighter and someone who needs a fight with the likes of Spence, Crawford, Porter, Thurman, Ennis now but will anyone give him that chance.
