After this fight we'll see who will be there for Ortiz. It's always a shame when problems with promoters deprive us of interesting fights. I'd like to see Ennis-Ortiz, but Fundora-Ortiz would also be interesting.

The fight doesnt make sense for Vergil, thats for sure. He might get a name for his resume, but Jermell is a complete question mark. They really shouldve let him get 1 tuneup to see where he stands. Vergil was trying to get the fight as of a few weeks ago. Boots and camp didnt want it. One cant claim theyre ducking because Boots was trying to get the fight before Xander and apparently Vergil was trying too...so much so that he attempted to go around DLH and had a legal contract event keep him sidelined the entire time.

Keep in mind, all this happened after Boots claimed Vergil and team sent their offer to the wrong email address after acknowledging talks had been ongoing. Now, suddenly, wrong email. Make it make sense.

Boots hasnt beaten one opponent as good as Lubin, Madrimov, or Bohachuk. I'm not even sure if he beat someone as good as Mean Machine. Boots beating Xander means nothing. Xander, like Boots, was an email champion. And feather-fisted Xander almost got Boots out of there.
