Whether they are viable boxers is besides the point because they took that chance from someone else.

As horrid as giving a 1-0 or 0-0 a title fight is if the division was cleaned out instead of 20 deep with aging contenders totally different conversation.

Looking at these 2 fights Ngannou would get the KO. Rico does not have the skills required to stop that from happening.

Oh, absolutely 100%. To be honest, I'll be massively surprised if he doesn't come straight to boxing, if/once he gets that UFC heavyweight belt to become three-weight world champion. He's getting on in age so he won't be hanging around in the dictatorship that is the UFC. He is clearly a very driven individual who wants to achieve as much success and tick as many boxes as possible, and then move onto the next challenge. What he's done already and in such little time has been unprecedented.

Yeah, and Rico may get rag-dolled by Ngannou if he employs the strategy he did with Usyk - even as big as he is… although I wouldn’t expect him to.

He is signed to a 9 fight deal with the UFC, unfortunately.

I think Rico wins because of the workrate

Rico doesn't have much pop in his shots though.

but great engine indeed and he seems to constantly providing movement with his hands to upset ppl that try to pick their shots (actually Usyk was/is great at that 2), but he is boxing to much crunched over and open for uppercuts
