Verno Philips V Paul Williams

Williams is hungry. For all of you who think he's going to go in there and underestimate his opponent like he did Carlos, you are mistaken... badly. If Verno beats Williams, I will be the first to give him credit. I don't think he can do it, though. P is going to go in there and take rounds early and force Verno to come to him. If he chases Paul he will go down quickly. End of story.

Philips is orthodox. I'm picking a PW Ud on his workrate alone. I don't see him stopping phillips, but if he does it's a very impressive scalp as I don't think he's been stopped since like the 80's.

Williams will probably win a wide decision over Philips. If Philips was several years younger he could give Williams a fight but now he's just getting too far up there in years. Williams by UD.

if Williams doesnt look impressive in this fight, his entire career will be in question, lets not forget Phillips is well past his better days, but in his best days he gave a primed Ouma all he could handle, he also was in there with an older smaller Ike Quartey who had just come out of retirement and he lost there, if Phillips is able to get anything done in there it will not look good for PW.

Paul must do more than punish tonight he must destroy.
