This man has had an amazing rollercoaster career. Former WBO and (lightly regarded WBU title) and now at 38 wins the IBF title from Cory Spinks. Just when you think that he's finished he pulls a rabbit out of the hat.
The only thing he pulled out was a black bag full of dirty money he paid those judges off with. Disgraceful decision, but of course its not mentioned because Spinks is unpopular.
Well, let's see him unify with Vernon Forrest or Daniel Santos before we get too happy for Verno. Good guy and I wish him well, but let's get serious here. He took the belt from Spinks. That tells us a lot. Let's see him defend his "title" against Paul Williams. Actually, I'm sure Verno would welcome that kind of fight. He diserves a payday.
Seeing Spinks get robbed(it was close but yeah he prolly won it) was GOOD.Would love to see it again. His style is ****ing killing the sport. And the Mayorga ''victory'' was another reason I hate his gut.
you guys are kidding me.. he wobbled spinks atleast on a couple of occasions and brought the fight to spinks.. spinks won the early rounds with some of the middle rounds close and with verno pulling out the last ones due to his tenacity and workrate.. it was close but even I thought Verno won and im a fan of Spinks..
Spinks won against Verno...Cory actually went toe to toe and boxed, one of the Jinx best performances.
