Forrest had trouble with Mayorga's unorthodox movements and wild punches. Pac had plenty of moves that could befuddle the textbook Forrest. I can't predict what happens, both are very good welterweights
Forrest style would give Pacman Hell But no way he would shut out PAC Pac gives him trouble as well a toss up it can go either way
Are you ****ing serious? atsch A guy who lost to Mayorga twice is better than the two best fighters of our era, at the weight they're dominating at? All due respect to Vernon Forrest, great fighter, great man, not the greatest fighter of his generation. RIP
I don't think it'd be a shutout but Forrest would probably win. He knew how to use his height to his advantage, and Poochiao is a midget.
Pacquiao is already being pitted against elite WWs, while back in 2008, he's been pitted against lightweights, how he's gonna be kayoed by Baby Bull, Casamayor, etc.
atsch which one is it? does he shut out pac or does he win 10 rounds out of 12 anyways i doubt he can shut out the current pac.
That version of Forrest was his best. He fought aggressive and was awesome. He got overconfident vs Mayorga and you like him or hate him Mayorga that night took Forrest's best bombs, the same ones that dropped Mosley and Forrest was a big WW. Please none of this Pacman hits harder because no way did Manny hit harder than a prime Forrest. Both Floyd and Manny would of gotten ko'd by Forrest or Mayorga if they went toe to toe with them. Most likely Manny and Floyd might of outboxed Mayorga and ran all night, but give credit to where credit is due. Manny at best might of gotten a draw vs a prime Forrest. Floyd and Manny are hyped to the point it's ridiculous.
Yeah, actually I am serious. Who are they dominating? Cotto? An older SSM? Judah? Clottey? Hatton? Baldomir? A mummified DLH? As if a prime Forrest wouldn't have done the exact same thing - if not worse - to those guys? Pacquiao and Mayweather are awesome, but to say they're that much better than a fully healthy, prime Forrest (the one without shoulder problems) is wrong imo.
