    I am making this thread to show some appreciation to vernon forrest. Feel free to post any pictures or comments about a great person who was involved with his community and to us boxing fans he will always be the man who had mosley's number!!! A hof fighter for sure!

    Thanks for the thread sdsfinest22,

    Vernon Forrest will be greatly missed in the ring. We rarely saw him at his best, i.e. Forrest-Mosley 1, Forrest-Baldomir but we knew it could always be unleashed. He will be missed even more greatly outside of the ring. Those Destiny's Child kids who call him 'Uncle Vernon' needed someone like him even more ... although to hear Vernon talk he needed those kids more than he ever realized, his heart was that big.

    Not only was he a really good boxer, he was a very charitable person who ran programs to improve kid's lives. That makes him a really good role modelalso. Stuff like that will make us miss him a lot more because a good role model is hard to find these days specially in sports.
