    Vernon Forrest is better technically but Calzaghe is a lot more effective and harder to beat imo.

    Forrest doesnt slap his punches. Calzaghe was a skilled guy, but technically speaking it doesnt get much better than Forrest.

    Forrest was a student of the game and pleasure to watch, that being said Joe is/was a rare breed that knew how to get the job done. Head to head Joe probably beats Vernon, he was just the naturally bigger man. Pound for pound that would have been a boxing fans dream fight.

    Diffrent styles but Joe was more successful so my vote goes to Joe ..

    Different skills so hard to compare - Forrest technically, but Joe had the ability to adapt/find a way to win.
