Does Forrest have the size, speed & boxing ability to give Mayweather major problems?

All I'll say is that it would be a very competitive fight, so yes, he can give Mayweather real problems if he is healthy and works his jab.

Forrest's style would be difficult for any boxer because he is so long. He had the size to nullify a cute speedster like PBF or SSM. With that being said, I would still pick PBF over him, but he has Shanes number.

PBF is not even a true WW at 147 but he is so skilled he wins anyway but Forrest would have a great shot against him just because he is so much bigger than PBF.

Considering the Viper's jab I say hell yes ...

Forrest's style is definently a good one to beat Mayweather. But I see Mayweather winning this one similar to the Judah bout. A little too much speed.

I dont know if you could say it would be like the Judah fight, Forrest knows how to use that jab and when Oscar would use his jab Floyd couldnt do anything with it.
I say Floyd is in for a long nights work with Forrest, the fight will never happen but if it ever did I think Vernon would be a very live underdog.

I would have to disagree considering Vernon's height ..And Vernon isn't Judah where he would just throw out his gameplan ..

It would probably be a decision and Mayweather would win by about the same margin, that was my point.

If he won more rounds than Judah did that means that you think he would win or at least get a draw! How do you see the fight playing out?

PBF was getting out boxed and got caught with a big shot early but when he walked Judah down and stood toe to toe he dominated most of the fight but if he fought Forrest like that he might go to sleep he would have to fight a perfect fight the way he fought Oscar because Forrest is to big and the difference and punching power between him and Forrest is to much for PBF to stand toe to toe or trade shots so he would have to out box him but out boxing him would be hard to because of Vernon's height and reach. PBF just isn't a real JMW in fact he isn't even a real WW which is why Forrest has shot at 154.

Forrest has a tendency to clinch on the inside after he's taken a couple of shots and his balance isn't as good with infighters. Range is the key to the fight, and if Floyd moves his head enough coming inside and can neutralize Forrest's jab and lead hooks, he should have ample opportunities to land.

I'm not sure Floyd has the power to throw Forrest off his game enough to capitalize on his inside fighting tendencies, but he probably has the speed at this point to score and rack up rounds even if he doesn't "hurt" Vernon. If Floyd's lax about it and tries to stick to the outside the entire fight, Vernon's got a good chance to win. Even though it sounds like I'm dogging him, I'd probably be rooting for Forrest to win this one anyways.

The way I see it unfolding is Mayweather jumping inside 2-3 times a round like I mentioned to take it, and then playing keep away from the bigger man. Forrest needs to land on Floyd as he comes in and tie him up before Mayweather can score with combos, and keep him at bay with the jab to win it.

Forrest beats up Baldomir ans he is now the next big thing just behind Floyd ? :)

Didn't we had threads like that about how Travis Simms could give good opposition to PBF right after his destruction of the "highly talented Rivera" ? And didn't those threads went directly down the drain after the Simms - Alcine fight ?

    will people ever learn ?
