everybody give me your thoughts on this. Before It is known that mayweather had just signed the viper to his promotion and him and vernon were sparring. I wonder why mayweather was sparring Forrest before he announced he was coming out of retirement, i heard he was looking at Paul williams as a choice but i don't. But i am looking for feed back? what do you guys think:good

    Not a prime 2001 Vernon Forrest:nono

    That's a 50-50 fight.

Maybe even a slight edge to Forrest.

Tough to call. Prime Forrest's jab was like a radar. Shane (a bigger puncher than Floyd and in his prime just as quick) had big time trouble with him because Forrest had him timed. Alot of that due because Forrest beat Shane as an amateur and twice as a professional, but Forrest was good at doing homework on a fighter. Mayweather's counter punching ability and smarts is certantly a weapon but against Forrest, he would have been to a test. That's for sure.

Forrest managed to handle the speed and power of Mosley not once but twice, and decisively. Forrest is obviously the bigger man, and has the edge in power, but they have the same 72" reach. Apart from Corrales and De La Hoya, Mayweather hasn't really had to contend with taller fighters since he's quite lean himself at 5'8", which is not short for a man that started at 130 pounds. Forrest is 6'0" and solid. Mayweather obviously has the advantage in speed and defense. It's a close fight, but I think Mayweather gets a close, and boring, UD.

Let me let ya in on a lil something something.

A prime Forrest would beat the living **** out of floyd and that's real. At 147, Floyd gets battered. A long stiff jab is something that troubles floyd and vernon's jab is top notch. Vernon's height, reach, jab, and his lethal right hand would put floyd in a world of trouble. Vernon would control the fight from the outside and **** em up.

Just in my opinion, Forrests rapier jab, striking right hand, hooks, size, and ring generalship match up perfectly with mayweather. I dont see Mayweather outboxing Forrest on the outside due to Forrests jab, reach (being the taller guy and leaning in), and ability.... and if he got on the inside Forrest has the generalship to eather bomb combos on the inside or get mayweather back into range.

Mayweather will find a home as well during the fight, as hes great at adapting, and i can see him actually becoming the aggressor in this fight when he realises that his success comes when vernon is on the backfoot, but i just dont see it being enough to win, as mayweathers strengths dont push forrests weaknesses enough.

Forrests nemises are strong, powerful pressure fighters.... I just dont see Mayweather beating him....

Forrest UD in a competetive and exciting fight....

    7 rounds to 5
