Prime Forrest for me. Folks keep using the Mayorga fights as example of Forrest struggling in this fight but I remember this time period well and Forrest was struggling to make 147 and moved to 154 immediately after losing the rematch. Even though I though he lost to Quartey, he still bounced back and dominated Baldomir who had just beaten Judah and Gatti back to back. It makes sense that he really was weight drained like he claimed at the time.

I don't think He was just a regular belt holder. He was very talented, I'm just pointing out He didn't fight many good boxers. Two taller boxers I recall him facing are Senchenko and Zerafa. Senchenko rocked him - and He had a tough time with Zerafa for 12 rounds. Don't see any reason to suggest He was better at walking boxers, or movers, down than Mosley.
If We talk about guys like Frankie Gavin or Jo-Jo Dan, Shane was also able to bully guys on that level - Golden Johnson for example.
