seconded. forrest was a massive welter and meldrick was an average junior welter. physicality was never taylor's strong suit and if forrest could impose his size and jab on mosley, i give him a very good chance to do the same here.

    Forrest UD

Forrest seemed to have a good understanding of how to deal with speed. Mosley looked so sharp in the opening round of their first fight and Vernon just tore him a new one
    I think Forrest beats him.

Relatively comfortable win for Vernon. He had a knack of F*ing up the speedy gonzalez and taming their speed with his jab and timing. Mel wasn't anything to right home about as a welter. He'd get abused here.

PFP id rate Meldrick higher... But at WW Taylor was not as effective, his power was never was maybe average at JW , but at WW it was below average, not to mention he had slipped a notch.. In every part of his game Chin,Speed etc etc along with being that much shorter (for a ww).

Even a peak Meldrick would have trouble with the Viper... Styles make fights and Forrest is all wrong for Meldrick.

    Could look like Espana-Taylor.l

If Crisanto Espana could beat Meldrick at 147, then Vernon would stop him also. Meldrick didn't have an answer for quick right hands normally, and a tall welterweight with a right hand would not have missed, and he would have hurt and stopped Meldrick.

Taylor was not a good WW, really, like at all.

The Viper would have a field day with the smaller Taylor. Vernon's range and skills see him take a comfortable UD or late stoppage. There's really no way Meldrick can win this one, esp. at 147.
