Leonard gets hell for the first 6 rounds but eventually he outsmarts and slows forrest down, probably a stoppage by the 12th-13th (assuming its a 15 rounder). If 12 rounds a close but clear decision for leonard

I am basing my answer on how I imagine Leonard would perform against Mayorga. Since I can't imagine Mayorga giving Leonard any significant problems as he did to Forrest, I would have to say that Leonard was more technically sound and would win. Keep in mind that Leonard had excellent evasive lateral movement while Forest seemed only intent on coming straight forward as he did against both Mayorga and Mosely. Leonard proved his ability to counter such a strategy in his second fight against Duran and his wins over Hearns and Hagler. Add to all that Leonard's superior hand speed.

Leonard the superior fighter..SRL outboxes him...or stops Forrest late.

The Viper was a dangerous fighter with his height , jab, power and defeated
another speed demon Shane Mosley twice. Leonard though would work out
the Viper quicker than he did Hearns . Sugar ko in mid rounds.
