If Forrest was Ko'ed by Mayorga at 147, The Pav will send this dude the his grave! Even Carlos Baldomir had The Fangless Viper HURT in their bout wich Forrest had to hit Carlos LOW to get out of trouble.

blah, blah, blah. Kelly can't be distracted by the clowns you mentioned above. Kelly needs to continue his quest to dominate the world at 160. He can start in Germany where people actually believe that they have the true middleweight champion. It would be much more exciting as well as monumental to unify all the titles at 160. I'd rather watch Pavlik track down and beat up old women at a grocery store than to fight any of the above listed fighters. Its would be much more important to unify and hold the titles for a while than to be a ****ing sideshow freak for Bob Arum.

Pavlik hits much harder than Mayorga. And technically sounder, defensively more aware.

Forrest should stick to jr middleweight or maybe drop back down to welterweight if his old body allows him to do so.

Forrest would last 6 rounds with Pavlik, and thats being kind.

I might be in the minority here, but I believe Forrest has the right set of skills to beat Pavlik.

His chin wouldn't hold up. Forrest aint quite Hopkins when it comes to defense.

I agree with you on him having the skills to beat Pavlik...I think quite a few boxers have the skills to beat Pavlik but at some point they are going to have to eat a Pavlik right hand and we've yet to see someone eat one and digest it properly.

Maybe so....Forrest is pretty solid, though, and I was impressed by him last time out.

Also, I don't believe comparing the power of Mayorga and Pavlik necessarily means Kelly lands the big shot. Forrest seemed, more than anything, bothered by Mayorga's looping punches, as opposed to the straighter punches that seem to better define Pavlik.

I think it would actually be a pretty good fight.

Exactly. Boxers, especially those near the end of their career, are looking to make the most money they can in a very dangerous job. People want to fight Pavlik for the same reason everyone from 147-160 would like a fight with Oscar. As someone once said, it's called "prize" fighting for a reason.

Pavlick doesn't seem to one punch power to me...Everbody he has knocked out has been hit repeatedly for a number of rounds, then after eating a number of hard rights they bow out ungracefully. With good defense a fighter would take that many hard rights and can win a boxing match... Please don't say Taylor or Miranda have even average defense...

Don't forget Calzaghe, Zuniga, Abraham, and Taylor.
