I keep hearing this 'he is better or in hearns' class as a right hand puncher',i just dont see this as being true at all....Have these folks seen hearns v roldan,schuler and hagler at middleweight? when has pavlik knocked out a durable world class guy with one shot for the full ten?

 

After reconsidering, you're right. Hearns had the better right hand, even as a middleweight. Pavlik's right hand is enough to send an opponent to ***** street, and when this happens, he ALWAYS finishes the job. It's easy to overlook that his finishing ability plays just as big a role as his right hand. Hearns just needed his right.

 

But when was the last time you saw an absolute one punch KO? Kelly has extreme power. One punch dropped Zertuche (iron chin) & another one set up the kill 2 rounds later, One punch got it going against Miranda, a quick barrage & its over. And against Taylor, it was a thing of beauty. One right hand backs him up. Another one 5 seconds later wobbles him into a corner & KP knew it was barrage time. Fight over. Simple as that. You don't see that kinda stuff much at all anymore, ya know?

 

There are plenty of one punch KOs floating around. The last time I saw one was three weeks ago by Bradley Pryce. Yes, Pavliks right hand always sets up his finish, but he hasn't shown true one punch KO power. It's easy to overlook though, since the result is always the same

I still think Stezzie is wrong about one thing. Pavlik has one punch ***** street power, which will get the job done against boxers with good defense.

 

Yes it does. The 2 go hand in hand. He is a master finisher. A rare commodity these days.

I don't know what the big deal is. When has PBF KO'ed someone with just one punch? And he's the best in the business, or that least thats what people tell me.

 

the fact that he's so wanted just shows that in the boxing world he is not feared.

You look at guys like Kessler and Calzaghe, the B-level fighters don't want anything to do with them cause they know they'd get demolished
