Vernon Paris vs. Zab Judah & Sergei Liakhovich vs. Bryant Jennings RBR

TWICE it looked like WW was in trouble and could go if BJ were more of a puncher, that round. Jennings shutout, for me.

 

Round 5:

HUGE Jennings round, as he stands in the pocket and rips hooks into Sergei's face. Liak doggedly stands in there with him and clubs away at the body, but is getting torched for his trouble. Jennings shakes him up with a terrific combo with a minute remaining and has him in trouble again at the end of the round.

Drew, HTF can you give a single round to Sergei?

 

Sergei looks bad in there, almost like he doesn't care.

 

Close round for Jennings IMHO

 

I don't know if Jennings is stealing all these rounds with his late flurries, but they ain't hurting his case thats for sure.

 

Every time WW seems to get a burst of energy, it's gone. Jennings has taken some thudding body shots but he's all in control. Shutout still, for me. He's slapping him around.

 

Round 6

Jennings continues to lace Liakhovich with combinations, even though Sergei plods forward and grinds away with punches to the body. Jennings once again hurts Sergei near the end of the round.

I forgot this was only 10 rounds. Damn.

 

WW pressing BJ hard that round and scoring some good shots. But, he just doesn't have the energy or the pop to take it to him the way he knows how. BJ scored a big uppercut that stunned him a bit in that round. WW scored one of his own later. I think Jennings still edged that round, but if you were looking for one for WW...:conf

7-0, Jennings, for me.

 

Either Jennings is feather fisted or Sergei has an iron chin. That upper-cut seemed pretty big. I think it's a little of both.

 

Jennings is capaitalizing man. Eddie Chambers loss has been his gain. He has taken the chances and is looking like a fighter people want to see again and again on TV. Good for you man. Clean sweep to me so far.

 

Jennings really taking his time in round 8. looking for an opening, still respecting Sergei's power. Very smart. I'm impressed with this guy.

 

I think they're going to call this in the corner, lads. Jennings slapped the **** out of him.
