These would be the real fights for Golovkin. The question is whom of these guys would be willing to fight the current version of GGG ?

In 2007 Golovkin was fighting in Germany against guys like Sergey Khomitsky and Mehdi Bouadla.

GGG-Martinez or Williams would have been epic fights, Abraham and Pavlik would get brutally beat up and stopped by Golovkin

You have to really think about the incoming when talking about fighters like Paulie and Abe in regards to a hypothetical fight with GGG... could GGG take Pavliks punches? Nobody knows but I think Pavlik beats GGG... he was just more proven.

People forget that not GGG's power is what makes him so dangerous, it's his boxing skills, ring IQ and inteligent pressuring. He knows very well how to read his opponents and adapt.

Too soon to think that imo. We haven't seen his boxing brain challenged yet.

He wasn't more proven at all.

He has one good fighter on his record in Taylor, he lost every second to B-Hop and don't go the Miranda route. Miranda was exciting but lost every time he stepped up.

Pavlik's 160 title reign was shocking.

    How I see it.

I don't think Abraham ever beats GGG his style is tailor made to make Golovkin look devastating.

Pavlik's skills and ring IQ are far below GGG's, this would be the difference if they had ever fought

Lemieux, Murray, Geale and Willie Monroe Jr (yes due of his style) challenged GGG.

From this mw crop of potential opponents for GGG I see only one fighter who could really challenge Genna and that's Saunders.

Taylor, and Mirada were better fighters than anyone on GGG'S record, I know you're a fan of GGG but it is what it is... Pavlik earned his stripes, GGG has not.

Indeed, Abe and Pavlik are tailor made for GGG. I'd say Martinez would get caught by GGG in the process and stopped due of GGG's ability to cut off the ring.

IMO Paul Williams would give a difficult fight to Golovkin.

I agree that Saunders is probably the guy to push GGG out of his comfort zone and force GGG to go to new heights, meaning dig down deep to win.
