Ya know it's a terrible ****ing decision but Oquendo has noone to blame but himself. Had he just showed a little balls and tried to get Toney outta there, he would've won this with ease.

    Still a ****ing awful decision.

    You mean the first right?

The first was as close and clear for James as the second was clear (and not even remotely close) for Sam.

I think the judges are trying to tell Oquendo that they don't like his boxing style.

You knew the second they said "split decision" it was Toney.

He's my favorite fighter of all-time, and I'll be the first to say that this fight was meaningless. JT should be retired, he has nothing left.

We have the tapes to prove how great he was, but it's over.

Why would the judges give this fight to Toney?

The man just DOESN'T HAVE IT ANYMORE and this fight was proof. Why encourage a 40 year old to box on when he clearly can't compete at top level?

    I don't get it.

The only thing us fans can do is laugh off these decisions, as boxing shoots itself in the foot once again (never a suprise).....the bad part about it is that honest decisions lose credence because of consistent bull**** like this.

This is a bad decision for two reasons:

    1. Oquendo gets screwed out of potential better money fights.

    2. Toney will not realize he has to retire because he can't compete at the top level.

On a positive note, at least we don't have to watch that lazy ******* Fres in a title fight again.

But we have to watch fat Toney so I guess you have to "pick your poison."

I had Oquendo winning by 1

    1 Toney
    2 Toney
    3 Toney
    4 Toney
    5 Oquendo
    6 Oquendo
    7 Oquendo
8 Even (9-9 due to penalty)
    9 Toney
    10 Oquendo
    11 Oquendo
    12 Oquendo

I suppose I could see Toney having won by maybe 1 point, but I could have just easily seen Oquendo winning by 3-5 points.

But not enough to take enough of an opportunity to knock the guy out. He stood there and stared at Toney when he could've gotten himself a 10-8 round.
