Yeah, but Adamek did take a couple rounds off, towards the end. Sure there was pressure coming forward and cutting Cunni's real estate off, but little to no punches. Your analysis applies to most of the rounds though. 115-112 Adamek is the most accurate score. Cunningham was boneheaded for trying to brawl with Adamek, and was fortunate he didn't get tagged with big shots, in the latter half of this fight.

I know more boxing than you and Cunningham Dickrider guy combined times about two. I was shooting the breeze and talking shop with Wally Matthews back in like '95, picking Foreman to KO Moorer in 11 (I think he did it in 10) and covering fights while you were likely picking your nose in some 3rd-rate Canadian shack. I'm one of the few people here who picked Margarito over Cotto, and did so months and months in advance. AND came on here to make sure everyone saw that I picked him, too. Get outta here, kid.

Cunningham looked like a newborn fawn his legs and chin were so weak. Adamek looked like crap himself, but USS Fraud looked worse.

 

It looks like you've taken after your idol with that mouth. Haye hasn't proven **** against either of these two. You're just trying to excuse him for running away from the Cruisers, with unfinished business. I'd be real curious how his marvelous chin would stack up against Adamek's punch and will. At least after his jaw gets rearranged by the Ukranian, it will get put back to its original place by the Pole.

He would mop the floor with either Cunningham or Adamek. And I actually like Adamek. But vs Haye he would be way too slow, too easy to hit and couldn't cover up when hurt. Haye would destroy him.

 

Indeed, although I felt Adamek could have had better conditioning, and bag this fight in. I have never seen him fade towards the end. I think he brought in a little extra fat for Cunningham's size. He's still trying to calibrate his body to the cruiserweight. Incidentally, Steve should have gone to Adamek's body way more, because that's where you can hurt him most.

It's just that his face is such an attractive target when you're landing jab after jab and landing straights (granted, textbook laser straights) as though they were jabs. The sight of his head snapping back can make you almost overlook the fact that his cyborg expression does not change at all. I swear it's almost like he leaves his head open and absorbs shots as a strategy to make the opponent lunge in and tee off until they gas. :yep

 

Adamek faded because even though Cunningham isn't a hard puncher, he landed a LOT of clean sharp blows to Adamek. I thought in the last round if Cunningham had any juice left he had a shot at taking Adamek out, but he was gassed as well.

The only guy who looked ****ed up after that fight was Adamek. Cunningham got stupid each time he got KD, and the first KD was a hook to the top back of the head that was more a balance issue than a KD from a punch that hurt Cunningham. The other two were legit, but it was really just a dozen shots that had real effect from Adamek, thus why I saw this fight a draw or edging to Cunningham.

Doesn't effect me one way or the other who won though, because the fans won, by watching a free fight on non-pay cable for free.

That card put a lot of HBO and Showtime cards to shame.

 

Adamek much like Andrande uses his face instead of his arms as defense.
