Versus' Hatton vs Lazcano Broadcasters/Analysts were complete Scumbags . . .

Thought the commentary was spot on.

Hatton has looked like **** since the Zoo fight. That's a fact.

They were too disrespectful of Hatton and Paulie. Just two negative mofos on one night. Not good commentary. On a side note, I think Hatton still beats majority of people but everybody knows his weakness now so they are going to be gunning for him and he cant really do nothing about it b/c of his lack of defense and able to improve just simple things like keep his right hand up.

 

He aint clearly ****. A few guys at 140 could beat him. I think Torres would knock him the **** out. But thats just the fact of his strengths and Hatton's weaknesses. He has not beaten any decent 140 fighters since tsyu like 5 years ago. He has to prove the point again.

Just watched the replay.

Exactly as I thought. Quality, objective commentating as usual from Matthews and Charles. Great team. Hatton huggers are just not used to hearing anything other than the usual HBO sycophancy. These guys were not biased against Hatton at all.

 

I agree. But its versus....I wasn't expecting much lol.

 

Charles and Matthews were awful, terribly biased against Hatton. Here's an example of good broadcasting, rounds 9 and the controversial round 10 of the fight by the British crew:

I wish we could bring these two commentators over to this side of the Atlantic, and have them replace Matthews and Charles on Versus.

I thought they were OK. Nick Charles tends to be overly critical but is balanced out on ShoBox by Steve Farhood. He and Matthews end up arguing like a couple of catty women.

But I'm just glad Vs. is showing fights! Nice to have that as an occasional option, and now their deal with Top Rank is about to run out, so we won't always have to watch Tye Fields anymore.
