That is very often overlooked about Duran. His athleticism .
His hand and foot speed was phenomenal.
    Especially from lightweight to welterweight.

    Plus his reflexes.

Who else is rolling, slipping, ducking and weaving Leonard's flurries whilst coming forward up close like Duran did in Montreal?

Some of the defensive manoeuvres he pulled off on the inside against Palomino are insane.

Yep, track is track and fights are fights.

Although, some fights do turn into track meets :laufband:

    The heavyweight Sugar Ray Robinson.

Dominated cruiserweight, went to heavyweight and gained/lost/gained the heavyweight belt three times.. just like Robinson from welterweight to middleweight.

Definitely not on fundamentals, so not worth consideration.

Benny Leonard looked rather speedy and athletic.

When i saw Leonard standing almost upright i knew it was gonna be ugly. Right from the start his legs splayed everywhere (look at the head on) and there was nothing linear about his stride. His legs looked like they were in slow motion and he had a very small stride. Ray has one of the worst running styles i have ever seen. Gretzky looked damn fast tho.

Gretzky was quick. Funnily enough, Gretzky himself was a player who relied on his smarts more than physical attributes as he was smaller than a lot of other hockey players.
