Very bad news for UFC HWs.. Bilyal Makhov is in town

    sometime after this summers Olympics in Rio as he is going to compete again in the 120kg class in wrestling :good

    I think not. At this weight it's easier to lose 10 pounds or more. I think Makhov should lose few pounds anyway because it's better to be more lean for stand up (striking) fighting. Wrestling is a different type of sport where it's better to be heavier. He should come down do 270, 275 completely naturally by doing more cardio. The rest he loses easily.

    Upper limit for HW division is BS though.

    yeah I agree about the 265 limit being BS, I mean wtf.

    Really? Shame. What if i hypothetically want to see the strongest man in the world and he can't compete because of limited weight? They too need a superheavyweight division.

    Imagine Valuev fighting in MMA. or Big Show.

    Thanks for the info. I just looked him up, impressive pedigree. The UFC desperately needs someone like this to light up their HW division. Its old and glass boned, and never really had a true H2 ATG (Cain and Werdum are fringe). I like the Troll, but even he can't stay active. Hopefully this guy turns out to be the real deal and can become a dominant HW.

    Agreed. I think early UFC tried to get a bunch of fringe guys from different backgrounds, but nobody really top got into it, allowing the weird results.
