Very disappointed in Steve Bunce

This is true but Rob did make a good point about the Boxnation audience being a bit more clued up, hardly any are casual fans, Its about getting the right balance, which if Im honest, regarding Cleverly is lacking if he fights Enzo.

 

isn't boxnation aimed at hardcore fans though. I don't know many general fans seething at the teeth to sign up to boxnation for 6 months just to see Clev V Enzo, in fact outside of Wales not many people give two f*@ks about that fight

 

To be fair though how many people would be rushing to sign up because its announced that Clev will be facing Tavoris Cloud?

 

Of course not, I was just stating that it was a better fight for hardcore boxing fans. i would expect Enzo V Clev to do better numbers but lets not pretend its a great fight, its continental level at best and its not going to have boxnations phones of the hook with new subscribers.

 

Its a bigger fight to the subscribers of Box Nation, it would be on Showtime/HBO which means more money and put Cleverly in a position to fight Dawson.

If Cleverly beats Campillo or Cloud he would be in a stronger position to fight Hopkins/Dawson. That fight won't happen until Cleverly fights on US TV agaisnt name opponents.

If you mention epix i will actually explode. There subscriber numbers make boxnations look like the catholic church.

 

Why is NC vs EM a bigger fight than Cloud. Its only a bigger fight with absolutely no marketing. Promoters love the easy sell. They know Clev brings a few thousand and so does Enzo. The people on BN are watching anyway, unless it is Sky who actually promote a bit.

Hardcore or mainstream, if told that 2 undefeated champions are meeting know that is a big fight.

Allegedly wants the fight that sells out the stadium but Enzo used to sell 5000 tickets before he was a somebody.

Fights can't keep getting made on that basis. It is madness.

Allegedly knows that fights like ensure he never gets any credibility and the Dawson/Hopkins fight will always be a pipe dream.

Same thing happened to Calzaghe and Hatton. So many fights based on easy sells but delay the step up to the next level.

Hatton left then unified against Maussa, step up a weight class, fought top 135 pound Castillo, best in the world Floyd and Pac.

Calzaghe leaves and finally gets the Hopkins and Jones fight. He made financial concessions to finally get on the big stage.

Looks like Kell Brook jumped ship early cos he felt his career was going no where. Rumours are Bellew is unhappy.

It is rare that Allegedly believes in his fighters enough to risk them like he did with Naz or seems to with DeGale.

 

The thing I dont get here is that Boxnation is marketed at the hardcore fans, the ones who come on forums and watch fights every week whether it be Floyd Mayweather Jnr or Lee McCallister yet buncey comes on here all big saying our opinion doesn't matter and we should 'think business' etc

Should we all get sick of watching the tommy karpency style mis-matches and stop subscribing then Bunce you will be out of a job cause there is no way in hell Boxnation will meet anywhere near the amount of subscribers its need to break even of the back of the Allegedly fighter A V unknown Latvian Journeyman A model.

 

Gotta give it to Buncey, no matter what bull**** fight he promotes and sells, he will get on the forums and defend it to death. He did that following Haye v Audley farce.

Amazes me how little respect Buncey has for real boxing fans, who are the lifeline for the sport, just look at his responses on here to 100% justified criticism. The whole 'says what he thinks' statement is just totally absurd. Lets be honest, it is bad matchmaking and constant mismatches that is one of the main factors behind boxing's demise.
