He reminded me of Cotto with all those low blows.

    He was fighting a WW..

139 vs 151 = a need for same day weigh ins.

Peterson punches had no affect .. when I saw peterson land his best 3 punch combo and homeboy just smiled .. I was like "oh **** ... he is done" ... when they traded punches and I saw anthonys head go all over the place even when being blocked I said "that boy is in for a long night" ... the low blows we dispicable but coming from his upbringing I wouldn't even blame him ... that's a very rough state of mind

I was too. The most obvious thing to be disappointed in was the pathetic low blows...you counted 8...it sure as hell seemed a lot more than that. Also, it was disappointing to see him fight a completely idiotic fight with the bigger stronger fighter.

    @ incepter,

well we know peterson is the more agile one so he will come in light and rios is the brawler type so he will be bigger. This time Power > speed.

Nothing to do with the weight. If Peterson had kept on his toes he could have won that fight. Instead he decided to slug it out and ended up eating uppercut suppers.
He simply could not handle the fact he was getting beaten when toe to toe and low blowed his way out. The referee was kind to him as I saw a lot more low blows than the referee pulled him up for.
