Nah, he just looks like one and acts like one in the ring...but deep down, he's a very sensitive guy.
Few poor journeymen dislike boxing and only do it for the $200 they're getting payed to take a beating, though, right? I mean, even if it's brutal, etc...most must like it to a degree...otherwise, why bother, especially since so very few really make a lot of money out of it, no?:good
I saw on a documental about Sugar Ray Robinson a quote where he said he didn't like boxing or fighting, something like that, and that he only did it for the money.
Jermain Taylor certainly isn't in love with the sport.Carl Froch said so in Boxing Monthly aswell just this month Malignaggi aswell as somebody already mentioned
When did Froch say this? He spoke about how you really needed to have desire and fire in your belly when he did an interview for Buncey after he beat Pascal. I think a true indication of a fighter who doesn't like boxing is when they don't follow it outside of the ring. Despite what Calzaghe and Froch say whenever they are asked about an upcoming fighter or an upcoming fight they have always heard of those involved and are aware of what's going on with happenings in the boxing world. Taylor on the other hand doesn't have a clue. Pretty funny watching him being asked about fighters he has clearly never heard of. He hadn't evend of Froch until recently.
