    I'll go with "very good."

    He beat some ranked contenders and even a p4p great in Ezzard Charles. He also gave some very galant losing efforts against men who truly were great. The thing that offsets it for me was that he had a fair number of losses as well, and his record in world title fights wasn't all that spectacular... But a very good fighter nonetheless.
