    That was a great win. He outboxed Casamayor and showed tremendous focus for the first 8 rounds. That focus slipped a bit in the later rounds, but showed his trademark resilience by battling through the knockdown to take the decision. A top notch tactical boxing match with some good action later.

    That you think Corrales actually deserved the decision for being soundly beaten is bad enough;but claiming that he somehow outboxed Casamayor? Jesus christ.:patsch

    I'm one of the biggest Chico fans around, but there's NO case to be made for him being great, UNLESS you mean as a puncher.

    He was a great puncher, but overall as a fighter very good.

    He was a great fighter to watch but not great in the sense of being in the very elite class.

    He beat Floyd which is a pretty exceptional feat.

    He crushed Floyd's hands to **** with his face. Floyd never wanted to tangle with Corrales again after that. That's just a fact. That's why there's never been a rematch. It's also why some suspect Chico fell to foul play.

    The third Casamayor fight can go either way.

    Corrales has underdog wins over:
    Freitas and Garcia (both undefeated, both KO wins) a win over LW Kingpin Castillo, again a KO
    w12 Casamayor
    Manfredy KO
    Gainer KO

    Great is used too loosely so I will side with very good. HOF worthy, being a part of the greatest fight ever, and all.
