I just bought a new pair of 12 ounce gloves for sparring, they are very solid, it's even hard to press through the padding with my finger or fingers how do i loosen them up and make them softer like most boxing gloves, i heard hitting the heavy bag makes them harder or ''denser'' is this true?

Why are you sparring with 12 ounce gloves?

I know this ain't what you wanna hear, but I'd buy a different pair of gloves. Especially if you are sparring guys in your own gym a lot.

What brand are they, and why is hardness an issue? Most of them start out a bit stiff anyway.

I'd be more concerned to be honest, if they started out soft. Softer gloves offer less protection for your hands, and sparring partners' faces.

Indeed, Stiff is a better way to describe it I'd say, if they're stiff, than that is good!
