Coming to NYC for this event (arrive on the Friday about 3pm) so where are the best pubs to drink near The Garden on the Saturday before the fights start. Bear in mind there will be 4 bevvy merchants so the drink needs to be cold and served very fast. Thanks in advance,

also if there are any boxing related events on on the Friday night in the area (small hall show or amateur boxing) let me know here or failing that any other good pubs to visit on the friday

    cheers

If you are staying in mid town, check out Jimmy's Corner bar (7th and 44th street W).It's a pure boxing bar and cheap drinks-filled with all kind of boxing posters and photo's-plus many ex boxers and trainers and press dudes gather there.
If u r staying near the Gardens, check out the Flying Puck, directly beside MSG.
As a New Yorker, these are the two bars we drink at during fight weekend-plus there will be a weigh in on Friday in the Theater, located in MSG,free of charge, but get there early as Cotto brings in a huge crowd.:thumbsup
