He's got a bit of nerve banging on about how easy it is to win and keep world titles these days because poor opposition and multiple belts after his bum of the month campaign for the WBO 168lb title.
Awesome interview from a an awesome guy, love his honesty, and makes a change from the bollocks spun our way from modern boxers. At times like these i struggle to understand why i hated him so much when i was young lol
great read. Eubank is candid as ****, which unfortunately is why he could never work on prime time t.v., as he actually tells it like it is (added to the fact he uses 20 words where 10 will suffice!) I like the man's honesty in telling us how he wouldn't take certain fights unless they were financially viable. It is refreshing, and i don't even find it vulgar he dodged some fights. Legend
Lol he was a bit hitter back in the day, rememebr all his early fights on ITV, before his hand problems, ppl forget that.

Gotta be honest Eubank is a legend... I always said Calzaghe could bang in the early days too.. His hands were ruined after a few years in the pro game though and it didn't help that his old man never had a clue how to wrap hands...:-( I'd have loved to have seen a prime Eubank fight Calzaghe that could have been a special one.. Toney would have eaten him but there's no shame in that as he's a great fighter.. I was told a story by a friend of Eubank's once it went like this.. After the fight with Nigel Benn in the after fight press coneference, Benn says "I don't know what went wrong?? ,Maybe it was losing 7 pound in the last week?" To which, Eubank replied "That is very unproffesional being that much over weight in the last week" To which this friend of his looked over at him and shook his head cos with 10 days to go to the fight Eubank was more than a 14 pounds overweight and this friend was with him when he was getting weighed after each session...:yep That friend of his was Jimmy Mc... To this day I'll always look at Eubank as a legend and a very clever crafty man..:good
"I actually lost 20 pounds in a week", yep sure was prime Eubank in there, no wonder he got knocked over Chris Byrd style.
